because my friend thinks she's pregnant... i told her it was probably just gas... now she wants to give herself an at home abortion because she can't afford to get a real one... should i let her do this...???

First of all, she should get a definite answer on if she's pregnant.
And no, absolutely do not try to give yourself (or let anyone else who is not a professional) a "home abortion". It will more than likely result in extreme physical (extreme bleeding, infections, many many other worse things) and mental trauma to the mother, and would be (even more) inhumane to the child. I am not saying this as a pro-life supporter but out of concern to your friend, she could get very hurt trying to do that.
See a professional. There are lots of programs out there that will help young mothers who can't afford professional health care, just google it. Where I live, there's a program called "Every Woman Matters", I don't know if that's nationwide, but it's worth a look see.
I also recommend your friend looking into adoption, if she is pregnant. There are hundreds of thousands of infertile couples who would love to give a baby a happy, caring life.

She'll probably end up damaging her insides, never be able to have any more kids, and may even bleed to death. But hey, if it saves money, that's the main thing. Of course it's a bad idea! She'll pay more when the hospital has to patch her up. She doesn't even know if she's pregnant yet, and if she can't tell the difference between a baby and gas, she shouldn't be sleeping with a guy. EDIT...She's 26? Then either this is a joke or she's a slapper with mental problems

if you're really her friend you would not even consider letting her do something like that. Abortion is a very serious decision to have to make.Even a clinical abortion does damage to your body imagine what can happen if she did it at home, she could die. Your friend will need alot of emotional support during a time like this. Be strong and adamant don't let her do it herself, there are other options. Also go with her to a free clinic so she can get tested then she can decide what she wants to do.

Yes that's a bad idea, maybe she should find out if she really is pregnant in the first place, then worry about an abortion.
Most states will have welfare programs to help with getting the procedure done PROFESSIONALLY

This is definately a bad idea. She could cause more damage than it is worth. See a doctor(shrink)is the best advice I can giver her. By the way kids are awesome.

she needs to either get a checkup or get a testing thing from walmart to check if she is pregnant and if she is then GO TO THE DOCTOR

this is very very wrong. one because she doesnt known for sure if she's pregnant.
2 she can harm herself very badly
and lastly if she is pregnant it's not the babies fault that she didnt know how to keep her legs closed, so why must it die?
