NADA value is around $9,000 or so. Having a new engine isn't much of a selling point and may actually be a liability. With basic care any Mercedes engine should give 250,000 to 300,000 miles of service. Having to replace an engine with only 100k on it tells me that the car hasn't been properly maintained and would actually REDUCE what I'd pay for it on the theory that something else (expen$ive) was likely to fail due to poor maintenance.

Its not in perfect condition if you had to replace the motor. If anything its been abused.

I agree with bostonia, that having a new engine raises concerns for me. An E320 in jersey is about $6,000.00. I have one, and I love it.
