Hello, I accepted a job offer over the phone, it was an informal acceptance. However, I forgot to negotiate the salary, would be okay and proper to call back and ask to negotiate the salary?

Well, a salary was offered to me, and I accepted it informally. Now, is it alright for me to call back and ask to negotiate the salary since it is low for me.

Ofcourse... otherwise what would they pay you? Plus, you have to ask, they can always say no...
I would call them back and politely ask them what they were thinking in terms of salary. If what they offer you is not acceptable, let them know that you are excited about the oppty and based on what you had to offer you were thinking $X.

I would make sure the job is solidly yours before talking about pay. It may look better for you.
