Democrats in America are evenly divided on the question of whether George W. Bush knew about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in advance. Thirty-five percent (35%) of Democrats believe he did know, 39% say he did not know, and 26% are not sure.

Some added facts you can look them up.
From the time of the first plane impact to Flight 93 is 1 hour and 17 minutes.
Before 9/11 planes were not used as sucide weapons.
One more thing I have read about 9/11 and most of the consparcy junk and yet to see 1 thing to hold up in the light of reality.

Read the rest of the poll.
Republicans reject that view and, by a 7-to-1 margin, say the President did not know in advance about the attacks.
Not the same number not even close.

The problem with the 'conspiracy theories' and those that perpetuate them is that they take a group of fairly valid and believable pieces of information and then draw conclusions. If all that was presented was the idea that the buildings were taken down by controlled demolition after they were attacked by planes hijacked by terrorists, America would listen. They would look at the footage without cynicism and agree that it looked like a controlled demolition. It might even garner enough support for their to be an inquiry about the feasibilities of that having happened. But they take it all too far....they take the information and draw conclusions of the conspiratorial intentions of Bush...and all is lost.
Any by the way, there are many Reps who believe in the same....so lets not turn this into a democrat bashing fest....

Yeah, it's kinda crazy. I think there are a lot of reasons - maybe as many as there are theorists.
Conspiracy Theories are not a new thing for lefties. For decades they speculated about the Kennedy Assasination, the Military Industrail Complex, the Star Chamber, Zionism, Free Masons, the NEW WORLD ORDER and who knows what else. It's just part of the movement, like Che Guevara t-shirts.
Conspiracy Theories can be downright comforting. It's easier to accept a world that is under control, even if it's under the control of shadowy people, then one that's just a series of random events. Same reason peolpe turn to religion. Christians say "It's God's Will" liberals say "It was a Conspiracy."
Conspiracy Theories can be a way of retaining a sense of power. If a score of crazies can crash planes into buildings and kill thousands, then America just isn't safe, it can be attacked successfully be even the weakest enemies. But, if it was a convoluted Conspiracy in the halls of power, then America did it to itself, which means, it's not really vulnerable.
Conspiracy Theories feed feelings of elitism. Those few whose eyes are open can see the workings of the vast machine of political power. Lesser men are sheep, mindlessly following the leader rigged voting machines elect for them.
Conspiracy Theories can give form to paranoid fantasies caused by mental disorders. A person with schizophrenia is given to fantasies of persecution. If you were a native american in what is now Canada, you might believe you were being stalked by the Windigo. If you're a modern American, you might believe that 'enemy agents' or 'the government' or 'aliens' are out to get you.

that's enormously trouble-free for me to particular myself without resorting to insults you @#$%^&*! merely kidding! the element is that folk experience passionately approximately politics. Like faith, subsequently that's been pronounced to sidestep those sort of subjects in social circumstances. right here is going. To oversimplify, Democrats look to have self assurance that government has the answer for each and all of the themes. And that if the government has not yet fastened a difficulty that's via fact the forms in place is underfunded and not super sufficient. Republicans tend to have self assurance that somewhat government is going an prolonged good distance. and that there is not any problem that extra government won't make worse. Take training. Republicans might want to convey opposition to the industry with the aid of extra shape faculties, or vouchers for inner maximum faculties. The Dem's are against it. they suspect the only problem with training is that's underfunded.. MO money, MO money. it is like the 1st actual time that faculties certainly have much less money than the 300 and sixty 5 days in the previous. however the college administration talks approximately slicing the babies classes, in no way in view that possibly they have too many layers of administration. As I pronounced, aside from this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, faculties have in no way had additional funds than they have and training has in no way been worse. it is the excellent i will do. you have asked us to be independent mutually as discussing the main polarizing of subjects. you are able to tell by ability of what I pronounced which way I lean, yet i've got self assurance I caught to the info.

Believing that Bush may have had some foreknowledge that something bad might happen on 9/11 hardly sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.
I think the more cogent question to ask is why do so many American citizens believe that the president is capable of dishonesty on that level?

Not sure if he read what was put on his desk on 8/01 If he did read about then he would have known there was a possiblity of attack. However I don't think the report said exactly when it would happen or how. I do believe President Bush would have stepped up measures if he knew.
I do not an any way shape or form believe he was behind the 9/11 attacks.

how many democrats died, buried, and burned alive during 9/11 ? grow up
The reason these conspiracies came up because of Bush admin blocking all sorts of investigations into 9/11. If you look at the facts during 9/11 some of them raised a few flags and as long as the Bush administration continue to block the investigations, these conspiracies will come up

It is hard to say what they mean by "knew" about the attacks. It is fact that there was a memo the White House received prior to 9/11 that read "Bin Laden Intent on Attacking the US." Maybe they consider that to mean he "knew" about the attacks.

Osama himself admitted he was stunned at the overwhelming success of the 9-11 plot.
In the infamous videotape aired by Bush's governmetn, he said he estimated the hijackers would have 20 minutes at most before America took countermeasures to prevent them from hitting their targets. Instead, Bush gave them over two hours!

I don't think he knew for sure but I can't say the same for Cheney he is such a lair I would not believe him if he stood on a bible and I think he is the brains? behind the war in Iraq, Bush is to dumb to come up with all the things that have happened the last 4 years.
