I was spotting for over two months straight up until a week and a half a go when I went on birth control pills to stop it, I took only 4 pills and the spotting stopped completely. The reason why I was spotting for that long is because I had one shot of depo provera last year May. I don't know if you're on birth control but if you're not you got to get checked out by your ob/gyn because that's not normal.

Are you on the pill- that could be something to do with it. I was on for about four weeks because of the pill. If not it may be because you have irregular cycles or it could be something like endometriosis or PCOS. It is good you are going to see your doctor. It doesn't sound like anything sinister as you didn't mention any pain or other symptoms.

Please add more information. Are you in pain? Is this like period bleeding? Spotting? Are you having cramping?
Some conditions like endometriosis can cause bleeding. Sorry, I can't help without more information.
