The best place to go is Back at the Beach Cafe. It's on PCH just below the bluffs of Santa Monica. Take the 10 through the tunnel at the PCH. Pass the California Incline and it's on your left. It shares parking with a beach lot, but the restaurant validates. You can dine on the sand and have a wonderful time. Wear sunglasses and bring some sunscreen. The only negative is that they do not take reservations.

The only thing I have to say is be patient. I've taken my mom out plenty of times on Mothers day and have waited as long as 3 hours, and that's WITH reservations. I don't take her out on Mothers day any more. Now I take her to a very nice dinner the night before, this year it's Lawry's for Prime rib. Sunday is usually a BBQ and R and R

mimis cafe...its a really cute place and its on los feliz i think ..in the cosco, best buy, toys r us plaza
