There are lots of options, and they depend on how big your yard is and what the soil is like.

If your yard isn't too large and the soil isn't too rocky you can go at it with a shovel and a wheelbarrow, which is the most work, but also the cheepest way of getting the job done.

Put the extra dirt/rocks from the high spots in the low spot and reseed. Clean fill can always be given away on www.craigslist.org too, usually you can find someone who will load and haul for free.

After that you might consider renting some landscaping equipment like a power shovel or even a skid steer to help you get the job done. The dirt advice from above still stands for this option.

If even this is too much for you, consider hiring a professional landscaper who will certainly provide the best results, but obviously will cost you the most.

Good luck with your yard!
