I don't think it is, because you would have to spend that and more to replace him, and a bit of loyalty from him wouldn't go amiss, who had heard of him last year? I understand that would be a good profit , but what message is that giving to other potential players coming to your club about your ambitions if you are going to constantly sell your star players.

I heard that amount spoken of on the radio, the amount isn't really important , I just want to know if spurs fans would be happy with him leaving if the money was right

i agree with you 100%,funny you know your an arsenal fan yet you like us follow whats happening with your rivals.as the years have gone by Spurs have been very consistant in one thing that you said-selling any bit of class we come across and like all the rest of the Spurs fans out there im bloody sick of it,I've seen it all before as far as im concerned even though I love the Spurs if Berbatov goes I'l be a hammer next season, prem or championship.

I think Berbatov will still be a spurs player next season but unless Spurs show more consistency and can creep into the champs league i really can't see him staying any longer than that.

I think £20m will be a great bit of business, but it will be difficult to replace someone of his ability.

"Plus....Berbatov's agent, Martin Jol and Berbatov have all said he is staying, so drop it !" and IP how many times have you heard someone in football say they are not leaving and then a few months down the line they go. Football has moved on from the days when you could truly believe what a player tells the fans.

He's a tremendous player but everyone has their price!

If Spurs can get two or more very good players in from that money than it would be a pretty good deal i think. I personally don't think he's going though.

Class players like that don't come along too often and Martin Jol seems very confident he wants to stay.. Berbatov is just a natural talent and a joy to watch. Tottenham seems to suit him well as a player the way they play.

If Spurs sell him then it says something about their ambitions and confirms we have a two (or perhaps three) tiered league with the top four shoppers, the middle supermarket and the bottom trash can. Anyway who do they think they would attract with that amount, one big ambitionless star (to pair an average player......) certainly not. More likely a couple of average players to wean for the shelves next season end. Tottenham should wake up. There's more money in trophies.

He won't be going nowhere next season he has spoken to martin jol already.
He told jol that he will not go to man united because he doesn't want to sit on the bench for half of the season and play second fiddle to a plum like saha.
He wants to stay at spurs and get a game every week with a 30 million pound price tag that will put off a lot of club's.
And man utd have only got £50 million to spend.

NO ! NO ! NO !
We cant sell ' the best striker in the Premiership ' if we are going to realistically break into the Top 4 and win trophies.
And how can you replace the Legend that is Berbatov ? Balls in the net and quality players on the pitch mean more to fans than money in the bank.. i just hope the club feels the same and i strongly believe they do.
Plus....Berbatov's agent, Martin Jol and Berbatov have all said he is staying, so drop it !

i in my opinion do not imagine doing no longer some thing for the first 1/2 of the season and then scoring 4 aims antagonistic to reading makes you an exceedingly good striker, yet Spurs have a wierd way of calculating move expenditures. If Darren Bent is wisely worth £16.5M then Berbatov is wisely worth properly over £30M!

No way!! i mean he is worth 30 mil or more, but i seriously doubt Spurs would sell him.. no matter how much(i hope!)

I knew who he was because i watched the Bundesliga, and wondered why he played for such a terrible team.. I never really thought about him coming to the EPl though.

we learned that after we sold Carrick it wasnt worth it, but now we Have Jenas back from injury with Huddlestone or Zorkoro to support him in the mid... AND KING is FINALLY BACK!!!!

we seem to have a problem selling all out good players.. ex: Carrick, Atouba, Kanoute, etc

We will get 5th place!!!!!

COYS!!!

to Sweetie: ARE u serious!! not consistent enough!!!
what else could he do?!?! 22 more goals??

I'm not a Spurs fan but if I was I wouldn't sell him no matter what the price. There are not any players available as good as him and quite frankly without him Spurs will be just another average team rather than one that I think will certainly be capable of a champions league finish next season. Having said that I sure hope Chelsea get him to play alongside Drogba!!!
