My boyfriend was always a smoking, and I hated it. He finally said he would stop for me. He was a really heavy smoker, used to smoke about 2.5-3 packs per day. So he wanted nothing to do with patches or gum, so he's gone cold turkey. However, since he's quit (its been a day and a half) he's become extremely sick. He started off getting extremely hot and sweating, then would get very chilled. He's been coughing constantly, and he's now started throwing up. He's very weak and can't stand up well. He hasn't eaten (or even dranken much) since he quit, and is afraid he won't keep it down. I have never seen him this sick before, and feel terrible. He keeps asking for a cig to make it go away, and i refuse, but its getting really bad, and i hate to see him suffering. should i give him one, or is there anything else i can do to help him? i'm there for him, but i just feel terrible.

It may be annoying for you, but your mom is only protecting you and does not want anything to happen to you. Age difference does not matter she will always assume a guy is to old for you because you are her daughter. And yes your mom may have met your father the same time you met yours and your mom probably made some mistakes that she just does not want repeated to you. Just listen to her because in the end if something does happen to you, you will feel bad for not listening and you will regret the outcome.

Don't give him a cigarette! What he is going through is completely normal. He smoked so many cigarettes a day, that it is expected to have such a huge withdrawal. Giving him a cigarette will just reverse the process.

Give him a cigarette and then have him put on a nicotine patch, and say that if he doesn't put one on, he'll die possibly, and if he doesn't do that call a doctor immesiatly

are we talking about cigarettes or cocaine?

if we are talking about actual cigarettes and not some illegal drugs, you need to make him use nicotine patches

i guess his body has gotten extremely dependent on nicotine and is having seriously withdrawls
