I know Clinton had more than a few, but it seems W. has excelled in this area. Has he passed Clinton in the scandal count? He has another 18 months to set new records

Bush, by far.

All Clinton did was got head. Bush started a war, dragged the American name through the mud, but us 5 trillion more in debt, and made the rest of us feel like retards for voting him in TWICE.

The article this link goes to is an editorial on 34 scandals in the Bush administration. The information has checked out so far, but very hard to track down, and I've been slowly gathering my own research on it. Truly an eye opener.

I have to say Bush, by far. The fact is that most of the "scandals" during the Clinton Administration were fabricated by the Republicans who hated him so much. They tried for over eight years and spent millions trying to prove those scandals and couldn't even get an indictment. That clears a great many of the "scandals" during the Clinton era, though I am not claiming there were none, obviously. I have just have trouble attaching the unsuccessful witch hunts to Clinton as HIS debacles, they ended up being debacles for the Republicans - no proof, no success in proving them, they get to keep them in their own corner as far as I'm concerned.

EDIT: Great example by two of the answerer's citing the "Clinton Hit List," long ago debunked, though they act like it's all a foregone conclusion. Are people more interested in vapid conjecture than facts? It would appear so. Here's the debunking, Snopes makes these people sound as foolish as they really are:

Lets see, how many died under Clintons watch?? Friends, witnesses, anybody that might have caused them trouble including 10 otherwise healthy body gaurds?! He didn't have Monica, he had many women including some that claimed he forced himself and some sexual harrassment charges. He had the dealing with China and a few other questionable ones. I like the list the one poster had on here about Clinton being the first president to- and it listed a whole bunch more. So I say Clinton. You may not like some of Bushs decisions but at least people didn't have accidents, suicides, and the women were safe! Than-you Gary B

I certainly believe the current admin has been very ineffective at covering up their scandals. I believe the Clintons have covering up down to an artform.

I find it funny how many Clinton supporters know only about the Lewinsky affair and nothing else. He certainly was the PR President.

Come on bro, you have had funnier and more imaginative stuff in the last couple days............
Although, it will be a nice research diversion for me.
Do we put on a points scale, Charts and Grafs, or would you like me to present it in a Pie Chart???

Do we still count Bankrupting Social Security to Balance the Budget a Scandal???
Garth-I need a ruling here..

Heather- Was that when the Dems voted for it, and then voted against it?
Please check a voting record. That one is way to stale.

Wouldn't a better question be, which one screwed up the economy totally and the answer would be the Bush's. No doubt under both of the Bush dummies the economy has gone to crap and under Clinton it was on fire and who cares if he has a little fun with the secretaries, they all do it he just got caught.

I would have to say the Bush administration. Never before have we seen such a gangster/chroni administration that bullies its own officials around to try and prove a preconceived notion. There has been some great dishonesty int he Bush administration on intelligence and motives for our presence in the Middle East.

Clinton is no better, he took no stance when it came to genocide in places like Rwanda and Bosnia. He is the president who idly stood by and watched 3 genocides occur during his presidency and absolutely did nothing because he knew that doing something could hurt him more politically then sitting by and doing nothing (Presidents have never been criticized for their lack of involvement in genocide).

However, with the generic false rhetoric and blatant dishonesty on Iraq, the Bush administration is going to be remembered more for its scandals than anything else.

To me a real scandal is when our elected officials forget that they are representative of the people who elect them, not independent creatures of their respective parties.
A scandal is when our constitutional rights are ignored in favor of a policy of whats good for George.
A scandal is when our energy policies are written by men and women who came from and go back to the oil and gas companies who hired them in the first place.
A scandal is when we listen to lies told to bring us into war so George can be a 'wartime' president.
A scandal is when the Federal Attorney Generals are told what to do and who to prosecute on the basis of political party
and not on the grounds of who actually did what.
A scandal has more to do with our governance and nothing at all to do with sex.
If you think a 'real' scandal has to do with sex, then you are merely saying that's all you are capable of understanding.
