Well, if you knew the rules no becaue the suspension for a first offense is 25 games not a year. Obviously you are a Red Sox hater because you are posting over and over and ignoring the facts. Go read the article and stop making yourself sound ignorant, he said he used to take a protein shake while he was younger in the Dominican and the market down there is not regulateed so back then he could haev been taking a sunstance that is now banned. Either way it is no longer in his system and he has never taken steroids or never will because he would not risk his health or not beign around for his family. Face it you must be a Yankees fan who fears Papi that is why you want him gone for a year when you should know if you are a true fan that that is not the suspension. But he did not take steroids anyways, there is no proof, unlike Giambi and Sheffield and Bonds who have people who came out as their suppliers. Face it, you are a hater whose team must being doing pretty bad to sink so low.

100% yes. David Ortiz is a good player (can't argue about that), but if he used steroids, then he should be gone the whole year because he has caused so many teams to go down the drain, so he deserves it. The new policy, however, suspends a player for only 50 games for a first offense. I say the whole season. The policy is not strict enough. Ortiz is too much a good player to not be suspended for more than 50 games. (I also hate the Red Sox) (GO YANKS!)

Not sure why you brought up David Ortizs name but anyone who is proven to have used enhancements for the current season should be kicked out.

Ortiz stopped using the supplements when he was younger as he stated and even joked about it. It was an article today on yahoo about it. More then likely he didn't use anything illegal but he stated that you never know what is in something especially at the time when there were no regulations. So he stopped.

I hate the Red Sox, (Believe me, I hate them. I put Sox-related newspaper clippings in the fireplace to burn...Don't ask.) I do think Big Papi is a good player, it's just that he's on the team that I hate oh so very much. But even so, ANYONE that corks bats, or uses steroids, amphetamines, and any other illegal skill enhancing drug, should not be allowed to play. I don't care who he is, or who thinks he is, but I can't stand cheaters. If anyone at all used steroids or other drugs, they should be put on suspension or at least face some sort of punishment...

Ok all you yankee fans (no im not a red sox fan, i just hate the bronx bitches) hoping for the yankee killer to be gone fugget bout it. Ortiz didn't say he used steroids knowingly or did it while he played baseball. He said he might have when he was younger in the dr because the supplements he received were not available in the u.s.
And by the way yankee fans your not steroids free. You have two of the biggest abusers in the league on the yankees (giambi and clemens). Not to mention the rest of bloated superstars with needles in their a$$es cough arod and farnsworth and cough.

the rationalization he did no longer hit many homeruns with Minnesota is with the help of the fact he hadn't developed a persevering with massive league swing--he grew to become right into a platoon participant. the final feeling approximately him grew to become into, that if he ought to paintings out left-exceeded pitching, he could be an offensive tension. He went to Boston, have been given the main outstanding training and took off. i can not say i could be bowled over to study that any participant had carried out steroids, yet Ortiz is doubtless one in each and every of the least questionable, IMO. he's outfitted like a classic, hulking ability hitter, in comparison to a popular-day physique builder.

OK, I answered your first question, and ignored the comment about the Red Sox fans, but now your sounding like a desperate Yankee fan, hoping that Ortiz will be gone, that wont help your Yankee's all the much really. Just like Clemens wont make that much of a difference either!

I agree with Lindsey. And you can read my last answer on your other question. But to answer this question, if anyone was proven to have used steroids, they shouldn't be kicked out for one year, they should be kicked out permanently. This includes Barry.

Papi does not use drugs. He is just one of the best hitters in baseball, along with his teammate Manny Ramirez who also does not use steroids. Bonds used steroids, Sheffield used steroids, Giambi used steroids. Who knows, maybe even Clemens used steroids. But Papi is just plain old good.
