To regret not doing something, I would be spending the rest of my life wondering "What if?", and I don't want to live like that.
If I make a mistake and regret what I did, then I have the experience and can learn from it.

So, I would rather regret doing something.

I would rather regret not doing something, because usually you will get another chance in your life, but when you regret doing something, it's done, you can't change it, you can't take it back no matter how much you want to. I would rather always wonder "what if" than to always regret the past.

I think that you should never regret the things you do, but i would hate to regret something i didn't do! So i would rather regret doing something.
