You should see a OB by at least 12 weeks pregnant. They will do a ultrasound to make sure everything is ok. They won't usually be able to tell the sex of the baby until around 16-20 weeks pregnant. They will always tell you the sex if you want to know. You can decide not to find out. Its up to you. I don't think its illegal anywhere.

You should make a prenatal appointment with your OB ASAP. If you have an uncomplicated pregnancy, then you will have an ultrasound at 20 weeks. It is done to check measurements of the baby, but they will also look to see if they can determine the sex of the baby if you want to know. So to answer your question, no - it's not illegal.

You should go see an OB very soon. They will most likely recommend prenatal vitamins-and you don't need them prescribed. Target carries them for a great price that last the whole pregnancy (250 per bottle). Those were recommended to my by my OB.
And as other have said, it is fine to learn the sex of you child. Go ahead, find out when the time is right if you want. And be happy knowing you didn't break any laws! :) Good Luck!

It definitely not against the law to find out the sex of the child using ultrasound, but that usually happens in the 20th WEEK not the 20th day. I say get to an OB-GYN as soon as possible so that you have all of the information and options available to you.
Good Luck.

Heck no! Everyone these days finds out the sex of their child with ultrasound in the US. You'll have to be about 20 weeks instead of 20 days pregnant though.
You should go ahead and make an appt. to see your doctor though. It's never too early to start getting good pregnatal care.

You first have to have a positive pregnancy test and/or diagnosis. Then OB dr. appointments start at 3 months on up. Finding out the sex of your baby is usually seen at the 6th or 7th month. Sometimes people have to have their amniotic fluid tested and while its being tested for something else they also can find out the sex too.

Make sure you are taking Materna vitamins!!! Your doctor will tell you when to see an OB. Yoour ultrasound should be at 12 - 16 weeks. The ultrasound technician does not tell you. The results are sent to your doctor, and you need to ask him/her.
