I never got soaped,nor did my children. I always got slapped in the mouth. Nothing too serious, just a quick little tap. It smarted for awhile but it worked. Hurt my feelings more than anything.

My Dad gave us the soap & told us to soap our own mouths if we cussed or talked back. We did not get to rinse with water afterwards either.
Think this is what is wrong with me now? I am an adult terrified of Dial soap.
I don't do this to my kids.

come on its part of growing up, it did not do me any harm, hello its only (SOAP) david omg thats why kids today are azz holes and have no respect for anyone mother and fathers and teacher we cant do anything anymore to bring our children up right...But its ok for them to hit us swear at us and smoke weed all day and steal... HELLO ANYONE OUT THERE!!!!!!
