Is 45 days appropriate? More? Less? Does she think she's above the law?

I hope she spends the whole time in jail. I think the sentence was WAY too short!

"Cruel and unwarranted?" How about proper and she deserved it!

Yep, Paris is a spoiled brat who believes herself above the law. She violated her parole & the punishment for that is jail. Average Joe would have been there already, none of this turning himself in at the appointed time! I despise drunk drivers; it's completely preventable. She was drinking & driving - I'd put her under the jail. What if she'd had an accident? (Remember what happened when Brandy had an accident?) ((nothing)) They ought not be allowed to get away with anything just because of "who" they are.....

Yes to both, IMHO. I don't think anyone can deny she's a spoiled brat - her actions speak for themselves. And as for her jail sentence - she is not above the law and should pay the consequence for breaking the law. Since when are the rich and famous excused from abiding by the law? 45 days is reasonable considering the circumstances. When she comes out she will have even more publicity just like Martha Stewart post her jail sentence.

Paris thinks she's above the law. Proof, she went out shopping right after she was sentenced. I think 45 days is not enough. I wish there was a conviction called manslaughter prevention so she could be in long enough for people to forget about her. She's more than a spoiled brat. She thinks she is above everything. Poor men she sleeps with. Hope they all get checked out. The word $!UT was invented for her.

If it was you or I who did this-- we would be in the clink within minutes of the verdict--and probably for a longer time. She has some gall to say it is unfair--right now she is supposedly trying to get people to sign a petition on her myspace account, she has asked for Gov. Arnold to give her a pardon and her "fans" (her or her family, I am sure--wtf fans does she have?) have started up an online petition to save her from jail.

Of course, she should go to jail. I am unsure of the guidelines of the law for breaking probation TWICE on a DUI- but she should get the appropriate sentence. Probation is a tool used to give someone a little leeway--in hopes they will turn their life around and not do it again. She broke the rules. and she can claim ignorance but you KNOW the judge outlined the rules thoroughly, and if he didn't you KNOW her high-priced attorneys filled her in.

Regardless, IGNORANCE is NO excuse for breaking the law. No matter what state, what crime, and who the person is--it is plain and simple.

She deserves what she got...but, I am sure she will get special privileges and get out early like all celebrities. It is unbelievable, like they are ABOVE the law. It makes me sick...

Good question though!!

I bet you she will go for less than a week. Just like how LiL kim was supposed to be in for a year. She got out months after she went in. Celebrites really get away with too much. Also whats going on with nicole? If i drove on the wrong side of the road after smoking and taking pills I WOULD STILL be in jail to this day.

i would do just about anything to get near her, but yes, she should do the time if not more. what's worse, she has to be a really stupid @55!! she has all the money in the world, why doesn't she just rent a limo or get a driver or whatever. gimme a break!! spoiled, rich and stupid. if i had all that cash, i would never drive anywhere. take my license away? big deal, just get driven around in style. man she's stupid. as far as the sentence, any regular joe would be spending a whole lot more time. that's crap man

45 days sounds like a standard to Me. Probably what most parole violators get on the 1st offense, unlike Paris Who got it on the 2nd...

She feels it's excessive, since She was born rich & is used to living wild, but it's the Court's decision.
Whether She likes it or not, She's still just a citizen & has to pay Her debts to society when she messes up...

Paris is a brat. She thinks she shouldn't be treated like a normal person because her daddy has money and she can't sing nor act worth ****. She's like any other spoiled cleb, not saying all clebs are spoiled! She thinks she deserves special treatment. And she doesn't, especially if she claims she is a normal person like us.

She broke the law. Plain and simple. And she has to pay the consequences like any other citizen would. Celebrity status should not make a difference.
