My Betta's lips stopped moving.........he is swimming fine nd he's even fighting w/ his reflection but.....like.....fish loook like they're almost kissing the water (i know they realy arent) but his lips arent moving like they used too. PLEASE HELP!!!

Probably has a piece of food or gravel stuck in his mouth. Nothing to worry about in either case, he'll manage it in time.

Wow! I've never had this problem before, and I've been keeping bettas for years! Could be stress, if he's fighting with his reflection a lot. Have you tested his water recently? I'd take him to a local petshop that specializes in fish. If you don't have a portable carrier for him, put saran wrap over the top of his bowl (to keep him and the water in it), put the bowl in a cardboard box to keep it from tipping over, and you should be able to make the trip safely. Someone who really knows fish should be able to figure out what his problem is. Or look for a web-site for bettas, I know they're out there. Good luck!

Betta's normally go up to the top to breath...this is when they're lips move they're gulping in air.
Did you tightly close his enclosure? Be sure fresh air is going onto the water surface.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. This might be normal. Neither my betta move his lips.
