You bet I would, Joshua. But I would sit down in a quiet moment and tell him I was going to do it first. Tell him how your think his violence is unfair, and that you are not going to put up with it any longer. Then the next time he hits you, haul off and crack him one back. But have your runnin shoes on, bud, because he is going to be mad! It will make him think about hitting you any more. It is just too bad that you have to lower yourself to his level. But that is the level some people live on. So be real. Tell him you don't like it. Then if he hits you again, crack him back.

My dad never punched me he just whip me with what ever was handy like a broken shovel handle, baling wire, belt, tree limb it made him no diff. but i only fought back once i think i was 18 and it was the last time he whiped me he realized he had a tiger by the tale and never attempted it again now 30 years later he says he only remembers whiping me once, go figure but i have forgave him and went on with life.
