I call it soda, too, but that drives my husband wild! He says pop! It does drive me wild when people call all soda Coke, because I drink Diet Pepsi, and I like that you call cola, cola, as that is what it really is (Pepsi-Cola, Coca-Cola aka Coke)! You must be from the East (I was born in New Jersey), because Easterners think in those terms! Have a wonderful week! Annie

I typically say "soda." I'm in Minnesota where they mostly say "soda." But I'm from Kansas where they often say "pop." And I've lived in Indiana, where they say "coke" for all sodas.

In California we say, "Hey you want a coke or something?"
and you might answer, "Yeah... I'll take a coke."
to which we would ask, "What kind? We got Pepsi, Root Beer and Sprite."
Sorry if that bothers you... but we probably won't change.
