indeed he is gone...and for good reasons... in lakers desperate move to find a decent point, they ended up signing smush who has been bounced around from team to team, country to country , street to street...he shows flashes of athleticism n skills but lacks the fundamentals and the bball brains to do any team any good....most of all, he lacks the intensity and the dedication....he gives up on plays n sulks and plays like a dead man when things aren't going his way....

if u look at all of the lakers opponents stats, the point guards have had their best games against smush... n for him to lose his starting position in the playoffs over a rookie with lil' to no experience shows his wacked out mental state

Hey El Chidon,

Smush will most likely be released. He was a two year experiment, two years too long. He is lazy, the possibly the worst defensive guard in the league (not necessarily for lack of skills- he has fast hands) but he's undisciplined, lacks basektball IQ and is lazy and makes continuous unwise decisions.

i doubt that anyone will trade for Smush, they could throw him in as "garbage" to make salaries even out during a trade- but no one wants Smush. They claimed him from the "D" League and i can't think of another team that has a backup point guard that i wouldn't consider playing in front of Smush.

At Season's end he got into it as well with Phil Jackson and i think starting Farmar at the end of the year says a lot about the direction Phil wants to take that position for next year. If the Lakers don't upgrade the job will be Farmar's -- they've come out and said that Point guard is a priority and need for them.

Joe Dimaggio is gone, Smush Parker is still a Laker.

Smush can ot be traded unless the Lakes re-sign him. If you ask me he's headed to a euro league some where, or better yet the and one tour... And yes I'm a Laker fan.

smush parker was a never-played-in-the-NBA never drafted street ball free agent nobody when the Lakers picked him up 2 years ago for league minimum due to the release of Brian Grant. he did NOTHING to make any team WANT him. look for him on the sport-card signing circuit in the near future...not the NBA
