No keep the Scottish teams in Scotland. Their standard of football is not high enough. Even Celtic and Rangers would struggle over a full season. They may be ok in one offs but not over 36 games. A lot of the teams would not be able to afford the travel costs involved. Can you imagine for example the cost of Plymouth playing someone like Aberdeen. Also would you want all Scottish teams to be given the opportunity of playing in England. What divisions would you want them to play in? Not practicable I am afraid.

True, other than Celtic and Rangers and maybe Hearts... not many Scottish taems will do well....

Plus, what will happen to the SPL? The fans will be pissed because they want their own league they dont want their teams to go to England and play! Everyone needs a good day off from work where you can go see your favorite team play with a brewski in hand.

I think a better Idea would be to send Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea, Celtic and Rangers off to some Island where they can play each other continually, and give other teams a chance. This would certainly help the Scottish league as it must be the most boring in the world.

The idea is blasphemous.

Here in Belgium with the Flemish Independence movement there has been talk of the Standard and Charleroi joining the French league but then at least Liege and Charleroi have been part of France from time to time.
