Technically, it is always an option.

But not a wise one.

Suicide is NEVER an option!! There is no problem in this world too great for someone to take the "easy" way out. And believe me, I am not a religious person at all, so this is just from the heart. If you or someone you know is having these thoughts, it could be sign of a very treatable problem like depression. There is always something to live for in this world. Sometimes you just need help from other people to find out what those things are. Stay strong.

If you were a pregnant woman in a Nazi concentration camp, the experiments they may have conducted on you were too awful to contemplate. Sometimes for your sake, because you would be likely to die anyway, and for the sake of your unborn child, to stop them from going through terrible suffering, it may have been an option. Some women may have made that choice. Some made the choice to have abortions. It is never easy in circumstances like that and I will never pass judgement on any person who decides to commit suicide or who decides not to commit suicide in those circumstances.

it's NEVER an option. u might think it is at some point in ur life, but it's really not. have u heard of this story about this girl trying to commit suicide and trys to fall from the biggest bridge in California??????? well, the girl really wants to die but when she jumps, she realized that she can face anything in life and she really don't wanna die. and the worse part is that if anyone falls from that bridge, there is NO way that she can survive. it's a true story. u might be able to find more info if u just google it, but i'm not sure. anyways. just to answer ur question again. NEVER. nothing is worth more in this whole world than ur life. don't forget. not frenz, not lover, not husband/wife, not ur kids, not ur loneliness, NOTHING

Suicide because you're down or worried about things is cowardly. But there are times when it is an option, suchas when you're very ill and have no cure. People have illnesses that take away every function of their bodies and live a painful, hopeless life. If I were in this situation I would want to die painless and with dignity.

usually people who commit suicide do so when they feel they have no other option in which they can releave their own pain, or the pain that they percieve to be inflicting on others. sometimes, people commit suicide on accident, they want people to thing they want to die, so they injure themselves, but the injury ends up being fatal. people shouldnt be so judgemental of those who commit suicide, if they were in their right mind, Im sure they would rather have lived. it is my belief that suicide is never an excusable option. the Bible says that God will never allow more burdons to fall on us than we can bear. that is if you believe and trust in Him.

I dont view altruistic acts as suicide, that strikes me more as self sacrifice in order to preserve others.

Whenever someone has truly given up the desire to go on living. Not to be callous but realistic - every person should be in charge of their own life and have the right to end it whenever they see fit. I'd put up a public-service clinic of sorts with attorney on hand to help you get your affairs in order, arrangements for organ donation, and a quick painless and non-messy death. If only the ill were offered such a dignified option.

When there is absolutely no one left in the world that would possibly mourn your death. Even then, there are probably better options than suicide.

If someone's quality of life is so poor that they choose not to live, and there is no chance for improvement (terminal illness for example) then I do not have an issue with them choosing to leave this earth rather than suffer out the days they have left.
