An old man told me that the secret to his 50 year marriage was this. "Never fall out of love with your spouse at the same time as they fall out of love with you." Does it work? I dunno, but his wife seems to think so.

A mentor told me once you fall in (romantic) love with someone the first year is the hone moon stage. Everything is perfect and you KNOW you love that person. But after that is over you chose to wake up every morning and still love your spouse/partner. He also said this is why we can have more than one love in a lifetime or why some people after years in a relationship just don't love that person anymore (of course there are many other factors tha go along with this, but I'm trying to sum it up). So, I think the answer to your question is YES.

Yes, I believe that it happens all the time. Just think about it???? Have you ever had a time where your husband/wife just got on your nerves every time they did something? Then a few hours/days go by and you can't wait to be around them.
It is not an excuse to go looking for someone else, but yes it does happen. What keeps relationships together is not only love but RESPECT! If you are with someone and love them you also respect them.....even when you are fighting you still respect their opinion.

Uh, no. You fall out of love for certain reasons that can not be resolved. Are yall having problems? You fall back in love with someone that you are apart from and miss. (For example: when you seperate)

I thought my wife and I could. She fell out of love and then fell back in love with me again and I just didn't.

Probably, if your vows included "IN love honor and cherish" rather than simply "TO love, honor an cherish"

that doesn't sound like love. it sounds like he needs to do some growing up. you're supposed to get all that fickleness out in dating.
