Please do not give your boy a cute, trendy fashion name.

Remember that he will have this name his whole life, which I pray is a very, very long time.

You have an adult responsibility to pick a strong, meaningful name for your son who will one day be a man.

Made up "ghetto-jibberish" names saddle children with baggage that they do not need and will haunt them their whole lives.

Weak, unmasculine or 'cute' names will also be obstacles to a young man growing up a healthy and confident man.

Names that are more common but with "cute" alternative spellings let everyone know that the parents were creative yet illiterate people......

This does not mean you need to be bland or boring. Look to grandfathers names, historical names, if you are religious at all, biblical names, kings, warriors, etc. Also, some last names work well, but be careful. Look around your family's other last names for ideas.

Also, beware of nicknames. Give the kid a real name and then call him the nickname if you like......ex James not Jimmy, William not 'Liam, Michael not Mickey, etc.

(OK, you will see I use my initials, that's just for the internet.....the D stands for David, always a great choice!)

How about this...

Write down the first and middle names of the baby's father, both of your fathers, and any brothers you might have. You might be pleased to find a name that pops out at you there, perhaps with an intriguing story there.

Otherwise, you are just going to get a list of names that you could find anywhere on the internet.

By the way, I agree with DJ completely (except for Liam - that is a name by itself - it's just the Irish form of William). I know two people who legally changed the spellings of their names when they turned 18 to the standard form.

Be prepared for hundreds of different answers on this one. You should think of what you want, origin, starts with, give a last name, do you want unique or traditional, short simple names or long names with meaning, names out of the bible, names with a certain type of meaning, etc. Otherwise you will get lists like John, Michael, Tom, Sam, etc. and other lists like Austin, Skylar, Jamison, Franklin, and other lists like Orange, Black, Gray, and other lists like Devon, Jashawn, Tyrone, etc.
See my point? You should let us know what it is you are looking for...
