Hey everyone,

I am 19 with a 25 year old girlfriend, and I am living with my Grandparents for the time being. They are both roughly 80 years old. I work with my girl, and we have none of the same days off, and have different hours as well. So, the only time I can see her is at 9:30pm when she gets off work, until about no later then 11:30pm. I do that 2 - 3 times a week. I've been goin out with her for about 3 months.

Now, my grandparents have all these assumptions that my relationship with her is affecting my work, and it's affecting other things about me. She might be moving to Texas at the end of the month, so I decided to ask my employer permission for a friday off to spend with her, which I was approved. They think that my employer would get mad or dislike me going out with this girl that I work with. WELL, half the people there are together, so I know it's not affecting my work, and plus I am one of the best employees there! Can someone just speak there mind on thesituation

And they think that she is manipulating me somehow and pressuring me to be seeing her....? And it's not at all like that. Also, they wonder why I haven't brought her home to meet them yet. Well, i'm 19 years old, the relationship is not serious what so ever, and no one necarsarily gains anything by meeting each other. And not only that, I don't have a time when I can have them meet her. There's no point, and I don't feel comfortable doing it. Can someone explain how different dating is these days compared to way back when, when they were dating? Because they think it's still some what the same and that my relationship I am having is obsurd.

Their right!!! Sorry in all truth you don't have a relationship. You simpling have a bond with a person based soly on a sexual attraction. Nothing deep, nothing special, and that t's them off. Yea I know it makes sense to you but the whole idea behind causual dating is based on the assumption that people can have sex and feel nothing. Is that denial I smell? Yep good old denial! Ether way while you guys our fooling yourself into believeing you have something "good" or "special" going on your neglecting what you really need, which is a best friend, is a partner, is someone you actual want to show your life off to. Ether way yea we have a perversion in our society that makes it possible for you two to actual get into a "relationship" like this, just don't go fooling yourself into believing its an actual relationship, there doesn't sound like there is any relating going on, just surviving to the next sexual fix. Good luck with that. I guess you could explain to them how hard it is to find someone who doesn't think like that, then you'd be on to something.....
