Do you mean Blue Swede (was pronouced Suede)? They were around in the 70s and did a very popular cover of the BJ Thomas hit, "Hooked on a Feeling" as well as a very popular cover of The Association's "Never My Love"
The lead singer was Bjorn Skifs

Brett Lewis Anderson is the lead singer for the band "Suede" or "London Suede"
But I could not find any info for the band Blue Suede. So not sure if they are the same or not
