An on-line MBA is unlikely to help you get a job anywhere -- and may actually hurt your chances of getting work at many companies. They are not respected.

There are a few reputable universities -- like Duke University -- that have MBA programs that combine in person classes with distance learning. These programs are well respected.

The article below will tell you why many on-line schools are not respected.

Well to begin with , you could specify the city/state of your residence. Part time MBA degree courses are available in many colleges today. These are probably 3 year part time courses. However you require prolly 2 years of experience. These are degree courses approved by AICTE. In Mumbai , MET & some other colleges provide these courses.

Other option is to do online diploma courses from reputed colleges like Symbiosis,Pune,... The value for such certification is same as any diploma courses available or maybe lil more.

I wouldnt recommend IGNOU & other distance courses as their standard is goin down. You should rather do courses from reputed colleges ,which you know will impart quality education. Key thing here is to learn from professionals ,rather than doing a course just for the namesake. Believe me , it makes a great deal of difference. Good colleges employ professionals who really care for their students.

There are large no of colleges in the country ,sadly most of them lack either the infrastructure or are too commercialized to provide quality education.

I'd recommend IMT Ghaziabad, Symbiosis Pune ( SCDL.net), also even IIM's offer distance courses, but check if you meet the eligibility, as they ask for 2-5 years experience.

Then there's Annamalai University, and even this is decent. Only this institute will give MBA, all others will give you PG-Diploma.

ICFAI Business School's Flexible Learning Program is the best one. They also offer you optional training classes sessions.

MBA will be offered by ICFAI University and no where on the degree it will be written that it was on distance learning mode. For this you can contact Mr. Rajat Pathak (Dy. Territory Manager, ICFAI University). His number is 9999417725
