that can quantify the "amount" of someone's feelings? If yes, what?

There is no "quantity" in feelings. There is only "quality".
When we say "I love you" it is love - period! How can it be little love, huge love etc. I don't get it. When you love, you LOVE.
When you hate, you HATE. The in-between "quantities", have names as sympathy, infatuation, likeness, dislike, etc.

( as the joke goes..
- Are you pregnant?
- A little!!)

Yes there is something that can quantify the "amount" of someone´s feelings but unfortunately, that something, isnt something that you can see...you can only feel it, and when you feel it, you know it and then you could even tell the other person things like "ive fallen even more in love with you throughout these years"...and it can be true, because even after you fall in love with someone, there is always room to fall more deeply...and it would be very interesting to say the least if we could measure feelings like that...but since we cant, the only thing we can rely on is the other person´s words and if you trust them enough and you believe them completely...you will feel what they feel aswell...so in a way, you´ll know too, without ever having to use something external to measure those emotions. :)
