I have a new fish tank. Is their anything I have to put in their besides water and a filter.

Depending on the type of fish you want, a heater may be necessary. I'd recommend some gravel as well. It can be easier to clean the tank without it, but the surface of the gravel will be colonized by bacteria that will break down the wastes from your fish and keep the water chemistry better for them (so you'll only have to do weekly water changes rather than 2-3 a week for appearance and water chemistry).

You need the chemical that takes the chlorine out of the water. You also need a heater if you plan to put tropical fish in it. Then you will need fish.

try to put some pebbels(rocks) and it depends if you want tropical fish then u want a heater and dont forget a light to see your fishys
and some ornimanets to make ot look fancy and an hp test to check your water if its clean.....also u needs a type of spounge to clean the walls
