We just bought a house and moved in on saturday, and yesterday i was cleaning and heard noises in the upstairs bedroom. Like footsteps and closing of a closet door, the only thing is that my boyfriend was asleep. And also he woke up to noises too thinking that it was me but i was cleaning not moving heavy stuff around. What should i do? Is there a website that tells about homes if somone died in there?

The house is from 1988. No furnature in the room we belive has a ghost in it, But everyone that has been over has said something about a ghost (we never mentioned anything to them). My boyfriends sister also said she heard the closet door of that room slam shut. And these are heavy doors, not capable of just wind pushing it. It hard for me to even close it!

There really isn't a website that will specifically tell you whether someone died in your home. In CA, it would be a disclosure issue, however, so you would have discovered that during the closing. You can find information about your home if it is old by searching local newspaper archives. Also, look into the history of the area in which your home is located. When we moved in to this brand new home, we had strange ocurrances like our glass shower exploding for no apparent reason that made us curious about whether we had "ghosts" who were reclaiming our home. We discovered that the Kumeyaay Indians once inhabited this area and actually left petroglyphics on the rocks in this area and soot from cooking food in the caves within the rocks. They mysteriously disappeared from this area like the Anastasi Cave dwelling Indians did from their rock canyon home. After that, the canyon was an avocado grove for decades. So now any time something weird happens in our home we blame it on the Indian ghosts who miss their beautiful, serene, canyon habitat.

All houses make noises, some more than others, all different.
How old is the house?
Are all the rooms level? That can make doors shut 'all by themselves' [ gravity ].
The wood in floors frequently squeaks, sometimes 'without
anybody there.' Did you add or remove furniture from that room? Was it windy?
Humidity can make the house materials such as wood, metal, and brick to expand and contract to a certain extent - this can also make 'strange noises'.
Every house I have ever lived in or stayed at makes noises.

really think hard if u think there are spiritual anomolies in your house. Many times i have had a door in my house slam because of my heating and cooling system making a draft and slamming it shut. Wood expanding and contracting in subfloors and roofs can mimic footsteps (and in some cases be a sign of needed roof maintenance). Steam from kitchens can leak upstairs to appear as etheral spirits. The typical qualifing factor for a "haunted house" would be bleeding walls. wait for that to happen to be sure.

some believe that burning sage around the house will clear away any negativity in a house and others just ask them to leave the area and go to the light. you can always check the website of the county appraiser of your area.. it's public record of who owned the house.
