Resizing won't help. Try any free image converter to change the format of the image (it must be a Bitmap image, they are big). Save it in JPEG format. A good tool to do this will be Fastone Image Editor.

Download and install Xnview, http://www.xnview.com After installing the software, open your picture in it and then click "Image" from the tool bar, and then click "Resize".
Xnview is an image viewer/editor that has been around for quite some time. It is free and works very well on all operating systems.
When downloading Xnview be sure to download the English version.

If you have a Photobucket account, there is a way to resize them
Just create an account, then upload the picture that you want.
After uploaded, click on the picture and at the top, it will say "resize."
Click on one of them and then save THAT picture to your computer and try an upload it on the other site that you wanted.
It's really not that hard.
Good Luck.

you can resize it by opening the picture in paint and going to Image and go to attributes... you can change the size of the picture. You could press the default button and it will take the size down to 640 x 480. Save it and it would also make the file size smaller and that should be the end of your problems.

Convert them to Jpeg format...this will significantly reduce the size of the photos...If you have Photoshop, then use it and choose save for web. This will reduce the size of the photos further yet keep the quality of them intact.

You can open the picture up in something like kodak or windows picture or Microsoft office picture manager and go to edit and it should give you the option to re-size image or it may be in tools.
