we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide ... there is no cause more important for preserving that freedom than affirming the transcendent right to life of all human beings, the right without which no other rights have any meaning.

Pro-Life means Pro-Life. I do not in any way shape or form, advocate, suggest or support violent action or vigilante justice against anyone in the American Holocaust business. I do say this in warning to all those involved in the killing mills, the Lord's Judgements are Righteous and True. The Lord our God Himself says, "Vengeance is mine, thus saith the Lord, I will repay."

A 2004 study in which American women at clinics answered a questionnaire:
on the reasons women seek to terminate their pregnancies concluded that common factors cited to have influenced the abortion decision were; desire to delay or end childbearing, concern over the interruption

interruption of work or education, issues of financial or relationship stability, and perceived immaturity

Yet people want it to say what about rape? incest? ya da yada ....
no one iterveiwed came up with these answers/... thats because they are rare... and the most common reason for abortion is selfishness...

A poll in January 2006 surveyed people in the United States about U.S. opinion on abortion; 33% said that abortion should be "permitted only in cases such as rape, incest or to save the woman's life", 27% said that abortion should be "permitted in all cases", 15% that it should be "permitted, but subject to greater restrictions than it is now", 17% said that it should "only be permitted to save the woman's life", and 5% said that it should "never" be permitted

Why is our Country so Selfish?

Perhaps they should have "interrupted" their sex life by considering ALL of the consequences of having sex!

But NO, why bother with silly things like that, have all the unprotected sex you want, if you don't get a deadly disease the abortion mill will be happy to kill your baby for you.

Sad how you consider a HUMAN LIFE an "Interruption".

Personal responsibility needs to prevail in this nation. Most of society makes excuses for most of their immoral behavior!

Grow up and accept responsibility for your actions! ALL OF THEM!!!

"we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide"

But somehow, despite your edict, we DO survive as a free nation, imagine that. The majority of Americans support pro-choice, and that includes a great many Republicans. Love the proselytizing, but your opinions on what the Lord thinks are simply that, your opinions. I don't agree with you, I support the right of women to make decisions about their lives and their own bodies. And despite your dramatic pronouncements, I have no doubt that our freedom will survive. You have the freedom to complain about abortion don't you? Yes, and I have the freedom to disagree with you. You also have the freedom to decide not to have an abortion, so don't have one. You don't have the right to tell another woman she can't, and that I'm thankful for.

congradulations than don't get an abortion ,did you think your writing was so elequoent that you'd actually change lives ,sorry pal it didn't work , i was a social worker for 11 years you would not believe all the things i have seen and quite frankly i think some of the children i have rescued and saved would have been better off if they hadn't been born i would not get an abortion my self i have kids and 3 of them are adopted foster kids ,but i do believe that some people should never ever become parents ,and i believe that what i choose to do with my body should never be a decision that any man or woman in our government should have the right to make what to do with my body is my choice i prefer that they keep out of it .........there was an infant who was beaten terribly she has severe brain damage she will never walk talk or even feed herself ..........i had the tremendious pleasure of knowing a wonderful boy who's grandad was the fire cheif and his uncle was the cheif of police they went to church yadda yadda yadda his dad one night when he was 11 killed him with a hatchet........another young toddler was often taken to the er for burns breaks etc the hospital finally called after the parents decided not to even bother comming back for the baby this is just the tip lady i doub't you'd be able to handle some of the situations i've been in .....there's a million facets to this debate if they ban it do you really think it will stop ,just like the war on drugs i do believe there will still be abortions also maybe someone should address the medicare aspect to this medicare will pay for the birth and prenatal but not tubals or birthcontrol than you have the fact that no one wants to teach teens the safe way to have or experiment with sex , no no i know what you think chasity all the way to marriage,,,,and for all you pro lifers that preach adoption than do it for crying out loud there's thousands of young foster kids that need a good home ... i am sure you never voulnteered at a foster home on the holidays or any day or went to a neo natal unit where a crack baby was just hanging on for dear life maybe if you had you'd realize that some women should have an abortion not a baby

the flaw is that you have no good way to establish exactly what a "human being" is, and the pro-life people also support plenty of hypocrisy, if a "human being" is a ball of cells, why don't you people seem to be concerned that fertility clinics are murdering large numbers of "people" every day???

and the second I saw this: ". I do say this in warning to all those involved in the killing mills, the Lord's Judgements are Righteous and True. The Lord our God Himself says, "Vengeance is mine, thus saith the Lord, I will repay." I could only conclude that what you say is totally irrelevant, is what you say based on religious dogma or instead on some kind of logical standard???

the only selfish people i see are those on your side. you think that just because YOU think abortion is murder, that YOU have the right to try to take away that choice. YOU are the selfish one here, not i and not anyone else who is smart enough to know that illegalizing abortions will not stop them.

Your 100% correct. The vast majority of abortions have to do with convenience. This one issue remains a huge stain on our country. The worst part is that our constitution has been so perverted that somehow this is an inalienable right granted and approved of by our founding fathers.

There is no need for the author of this question to bear the financial burden of these unwanted babies. There are more than enough loving homes that want these babies. Just look how many people are forced to go overseas to adopt.

Having unplanned babies can ruin the lives of not only the mothers but the babies themselves. I was waiting to see something about "the Lord" in there, and sure enough it snuck in.

Of course the majority of abortions are non-rape and non-incest. Noone ever argues that.

Pro-Life doesn't mean Pro-Life, it usually means Pro-Birth, because people like you could care less what happens to the baby or to the mother once that child has entered the world. Unless you support universal maternity and healthcare for all pregnant women in the U.S., I will only call you Pro-Birth, for that is really all you are.

If you are not prepared to offer ALL the unwanted babies a truly loving STABLE home for the next 18 years and pay all expenses, I suggest you stop thinking adoption will take care of the abortion problem.

Most of the unwanted babies end up being born, abused, tortured, neglected, starved, molested and yes...UN-loved.
They end up being paid for by the US taxpayer until they're "warehoused" in the prison systems because their mom's chose LIFE.

Put your $$ where your mouth is.

Big.
Fat.
YAWN.

You people are so BORING. Hey, it's the law. Why don't you find a new issue? You know, like giving a rat's as$s about actual, living human beings? Like those murdered on Death Row who were actually innocent? Like those murdered in an illegal war? Like the abused children who NEVER should have been born in the first place?

This obsession you fanatics have is quintessential hypocrisy. I'll bet there are no mirrors anywhere in your houses.

What is selfish about giving the woman the right to choose whether to abort an unviable fetus? The mother has a right to life too, you know...

And we can survive just fine as a free nation with abortion legal. We've been doing it for some time.

Perhaps if you are opposed to it, you should simply refrain from it.
