You made me cry just thinking of that. My grandfather past away six months ago, and here I am pregnant. I heard one door close another one opens. I'm thinking of that myself, but you have a better name to pick from. Mine is reginald, or kurt, lol. I was thinking of shortening the name, like reg, or regi. You could do something like Fraise, sier however I like the name Frasier, it's unique and doesn't sound like one of those horrible unique baby names, like all the celeb baby names. Good Luck and your grandfather will be thrilled. Spend as much time with your grandparents as possible. You don't know it until they're gone. God Bless and may your grandfather live till hes 100+

Frasier is not a horrible name just an unusual one.
Using it as a middle name is a good choice because you are honoring your grandfather yet at the same time you have your child's feelings in mind.. You are going to be a good parent.! Best Wishes

Its not a horrible name, just uncommon. Go ahead and honor your Grandfather, that would be wonderful.
If your child decides he doesn't like that name later on in the years, just remind him that he is named after a family member. Explain to him how special your Grandfather was, and tell your son more about him.
Tell him, that he can carry on a name that a great person once had. Make him feel good about it, ONLY if you feel comfortable naming your son that.
Good Luck.

It is a fine middle name! I think it is very noble to your to take responsibility and honor your grandfather!!
The middle name is fine being Frasier, people won't hardly hear it anyway! The first name is most important, so don't worry about that! Honor your grandfather!!

No... it's a wonderful way to honor someone who has meant so much to you. If you are on the fence, then make sure to give him a traditional first name. Nicholas Frasier Johnson may decide to merely be Nick F. Johnson, but that's the case with most middle names. Unless he hates Nick, in which case N. Frasier Johnson looks good on a nameplate on his office door, too.

It is sort of a hard name to take, but it seems to have alot of meaning, and I am sure it would mean alot to your grandfather... I think that you should do it and not care what other people thing. Middle names dont get used that often, and I am sure if you explained the meaning behind it to your son he would be honored to be the only grandchild that connected to his grandfather... I say go for it! :)

It is not at all horrible to honor your grandfather this way. People give their children some horrible names, I think he would actually have a more common name of all his buddies. I think this is a great idea, and I think your grandfather would just adore this honor. Just give him a pretty common first name to counteract the supposedly "weird" middle name, although I don't find it weird at all.

It's a good name. You can use it as a first or middle name. Doesn't it remind you of Kelsey Grammar, whom played the psychologist Frasier Crane from the Queen Anne area in Seattle, Washington television series "Frasier"?

Frasier is a perfectly nice name. Your grandfather would no doubt be honored and flattered that you chose to remember him that way. I think it would make a perfectly nice first name - depending of course on the last name. When I picked my childrens' names, I wanted to make sure the name sounded nice togther, not just alone.

Don't forget, no matter what you name you child, s/he might grow up despising it. :-)

Frasier isn't really a horrible name to give a child, you also have to consider, that most children and teenagers don't really like their names at first. I use to not really like my name, but I grew to love it. But, Frasier is a lovely name.
