Johnny Depp has been very clear with his disrespect to the United States and has moved to France [which i give him credit for cause if you don't like it here, move, which he did] but he still makes money off the American people.
Anyways, What do you think he will do now that there is a conservitive running their country?
[and for the record i love Johnny depp, he is hot and a great actor, but i hate his anti-america liberal thinking]

I doubt if he'll have a problem. France's conservatism resembles our liberalism much more than it does our conservatism. They can tell the difference between liberals and socialists in France, who knew? Depp doesn't have to worry about them participating in the war. Sarkozy is American friendly, not Bush war policy friendly, he has called this war a blunder and he won't be contributing to it.

First of all, the new President of France is not a republican. That is an American political party and not a way of thinking. He happens to be conservative, but what people here in the US don't understand is how much different politics in Europe are. I'm assuming you've never been to France, never held a discussion with a Frenchman about his countries politics and probably in the grand scheme of it all know very little of what it is you talk about.
Being a conservative in France is a little different than the bible-thumping, abortion-hating, non-progressive, republicans here who have hi-jacked what was supposed to be a conservative party. In France a conservative can be pro-abortion, or at least not froth white stuff from the mouth in disgust when someone may want to get one. In France a conservative doesn't have to go to church 7 times a week to prove to whatever ridiculous constituency that he is in fact a conservative. A conservative doesn't have to read from the Bible and think God appointed him to the position, and if one did, they probably wouldn't vote him in, because they are not big fans of religious fanatics there.
Everyone in the US thinks France is full of whiney cheese eaters when in fact they do many things better than America. They have a better health care system (I am not a proponent of socialized medicine by the way), they have an electorate who pays attention and knows when elections take place (85% voter rate), and for Gods sake, private lives of leaders are, for the most part immaterial. Maybe it would help if we took at look at some of the things France does and try implementing them here.
And as far as Johnny Depp goes, my guess is he'll stay there. He didn't leave this country because of republicans he left because of all of them. He finds our political system to be based too much on money and absurdity instead of merit and validity. It is a bit of cowardice move on his part, but he felt he couldn't change it so why try. Peace out he said and now I'm done answering this ridiculous question.

He'll likely just stay there. The new pres isn't a republican, although he is part of the French conservative party. Of course all things being relative, it IS a FRENCH conservative party which is no way close to a US conservative. Certainly some things could change over time, but they aren't going to change THAT much. His positions are to liberalize (in french terms) the economy/market to be more like ours-- e.g. less taxes, etc. Of course, they pay way more in taxes than we do in the US.
I don't think he (Depp) is anti-america per se. I think he's anti american government policies.

My feeling is the same as yours - Depp is hot :) and a versatile actor but I don't care for his politics either. Maybe he can fnd somewhere else to move.
At least he put his money where his mouth is. Remember, before the 2004 elections, all those celebs were saying they'd leave the country if Bush was elected? Yet, how many really did? None that I can think of.

I am continually amazed at how Neocons insist that the US would be much better off if all liberals moved out of the country.
How far and how high would the great American Bald Eagle fly with just a "right wing"?
When will you understand that this country's greatness comes from two equally strong wings working in unison. When you fall into the trap of listening to and believing people who say otherwise, you weaken this country.
A single wing will have us flying in circles if we get off the ground at all.

Johnny Depp will still have a great time living the Hollywood lifestyle with plenty of chicks and booze. The political party of the French president will probably affect him not at all.

Little Johnny oughta decamp for Venezuela - Oogoe would love to have him come on down to help screw up the country even further.
Wacky far-left wing American actors like Depp have such clearly-defined and oh, so well-thought out political "ideas" that a gangster like Oogoe could probably learn a few things!

"which i give him credit for cause if you don't like it here, move, which he did"
So, are you moving when the Dems inevitably win in 2008? Is that the patriotic thing to do or something?! I wonder if he moved because he married a FRENCH woman...hmmm, could that have anything to do with it?! Life is good no matter where you move to when you are rich. So, you want all liberals gone? Liberal is not anti-American, and there is nothing MORE American than dissent, remember we live in a democracy. The fascism is strong with this one...
