well my friend she havin a baby shes 8 months preg beautiful belly shes havin a boy is it normal for her to complain about cramps...she says they are like shes about to get her period they are certain lengths apart but sumtimes they are 5 minutes and sometimes they are 2 hours...the baby is moving like he always has! i told her to go c a doc and she is but i wanted some views from here! any answers would help tremendously!

i have this..my ob told me the baby is just getting head down and when that happens the baby stretches the muscles..and it will cause braxton hicks..so its nothing to worry about ..just her body and the baby preparing for the big day...just as long as there is no bleeding she will be fine..

Since they aren't regular I wouldn't yet worry. However, she should keep track of the frequency and if she has more than 4 an hour I think most OBs like to hear about it. I know mine does. I actually just got put on bedrest because of BHs to the tune of 6+ an hour. I'm also 8 months pg with twins (33weeks) so it's something to mention if nothing else at her next appointment.

yes this is normal its called the braction hicks.braction hicks is what the say is a false labour tell your friend that it will give her a idea of what the contractions will feel.if it continues all the time though i would get checked out of the doctor.good luck with the new baby sorry about the spelling

going through the same thing, doc says baby's getting in place adn braxton hicks preparing your boddy for the eral thing, goodluck hope you feel better soon

Hey, your friend shouldn't worry, I get cramps too through out my pregnancy, it's just her uterus expanding. Since she is 8 months, she will be fine and soon have her lovey

she could be having contractions, they are braxton hicks, being as they arent regular.
yes i would think its normal.

it is probably braxton hicks, "false labor", but she should have it checked out.
