A miscarriage can happen at any time, but you have no reason to worry about it. I am sooo happy for you that you're expecting your first baby and in no time at all, she'll be in your arms!

Im not sure how far along you are but i do know stress isnt good for you and the baby so relax and enjoy being pregnant! I cant say you wont loose it but you could also have a strong healthy baby. Hearing that heartbeat is a VERY good sign you have a good one in there! Just enjoy this experience and you would know if somthin was wrong. Good luck!

After hearing the heartbeat you know that the risk of having a miscarrage goes done by 50%. it is still possible, but not as likely. If your eating right and taking folic acid it will help. I am high risk and my doctor advised me to take additional folic acid. So far everything is going as planned 17 weeks along. Folic acid is said to prevent birth defects and miscarrages.
This is my first pregnancy also, i am due in October. We may found out the sex next week. I am so excited. I have some worries also, but i try not to let them bother me. When you worry it effects your baby. I try to stay happy and just enjoy life. Ive enjoyed my pregnancy so far. Not many problems at all.

As a previous poster said it can happen at any time. Once you get past your first tri the odds go way down. As long as you and your Dr are communicating well everything should be fine. If you have any concerns call your Dr.
Generally when you miscarry you know it. You will either start bleeding or all of sudden get horrible cramps.

A miscarriage could happen at anytime, HOWEVER, don't worry yourself because the chances of a miscarriage after hearing the heartbeat are low.
Congrats and good luck!

it begins with pregnancy and never ends. As long as there's a heart beat you'll be ok. The only thing you should worry about is vaginal bleeding. The moment that happens go to the dr. But dont worry unless that happens. That's the advice I got.

Take good care of yourself and prolly nothing will happen. I remember when I found out with my first I always told people I couldn't eat this or drink that or do stuff. Your Dr. will tell you what you can and can't do and if you have any questions then feel free to talk to one of his nurses.
Congratulations and I agree it is a boy.
