It's fine, because difficulty is a noun that can be pluralized (difficulties). The moron that said it's not a noun is wrong.
However, I think a lot of people, if not most, would just say There isn't much difficulty, which would also be correct because it is being used in that case to express something's property or value, i.e. "the condition or quality of being difficult" (dictionary.com).

It's correct to say "there isn't much of a difficulty in solving the problem". You have to match your tenses.

The subject of your sentence is "the problem", so you would say "the problem is not too difficult".
You could say "I did not have much difficulty solving the problem", in which case the subject is "I".

Monstrously incorrect.
What's wrong with :-
The problem wasn't difficult
The problem posed little difficulty
The problem can be solved without much difficulty

No that would be an incorrect sentence structure.
You might say:
The probelm is not difficult.
The problem was not difficult( past)
But if you use it in office.... you might want to say...
this problem does not seem to be difficult..... but let me work it out and see:-)
Hope it helps
May the force be with you.

no,it is wrong
It can either be 'there isn't much difficulty in doing the problem.
or it can be 'the problem is not that much difficult to do

unh-unh.
Try "It is not difficult to do the problem."
or, "There is not much difficulty to this problem" but that is pretty weak.
The best would prolly be "This problem is not very difficult."

no, it's poor grammar. "difficulty" is not a noun; "there isn't much difficulty" would be better.
