Hmmm...let's see. Well if you consider the fact that I spend most of my work time on this site, you might think I don't like my job because I spend most of my work time on this site. However, there is another way of looking at it. If you consider the fact that my job is so easy that I can spend most of my work time on this site, you might think I do like my job because I am able to spend most of my work time on this site.

Actually, I love my career, but not my current position. I am a certified teacher, but this year, in order to keep my sons in their high school and not relocate, I was forced to take a teacher's aide position. I like the freedom and flexibility this position gives, including not having to take any time at all outside of work hours to plan lessons or grade papers, but the pay is less than half of what I had made as a teacher. I am actually glad to have been given this break from the responsibilities of teaching, but I miss the income. More than that, I miss feeling like I am fulfilling my calling in life. Sure, I am still working in education, but this just isn't the same.

Many people, including teachers, treat me like a dumb-bunny just because I am an aide, or to be politically correct, paraprofessional. What a lot of them don't realize is that I have a much higher education than they do. Where I work, I am literally the only one besides the principal who has a Masters Degree plus I have several hours toward a PhD, both are in the field of Education, so I am certainly no dumb-bunny. I am just a dedicated mom willing to sacrifice a year of my career to be an aide instead of a teacher so my sons can graduate in the same place they grew up.

Most of the time. But sometimes, like today, I'm completely caught up on everything, no one is around, and I'm bored stiff. Wish I could go home and lay out in the sun listening to loud music.

Yes. I'm a realtor. My job mostly consists of hanging out, golfing, going to Royals games, and drinking beers. It's rough.... I know.

I love my job. No BS either. It's laid back enough that I don't get in trouble for being on YA.
