Which has nicest weather, least hurricanes, most breezes, perks for sr citizens, best mega churches, etc? Do both have beauty schools, fitness centers with low senior rates, all-u-can-eat buffets? HUD subsidized apts?

Anybody know of low cost 50+ mobile home parks? Where/how to get application for HUD subsidized apts?

I'd love to hear from people on both sides. need to make a decision soon. I'm returning to USA after long absence.

I prefer the Gulf coast. I'm sure they are about the same in all respects. I just like the calmer, warmer water and beaches.

Either side is about the same although the crowd on the east coast is a little younger. I live in central Florida and prefer it to costal living. Its an hour in either direction to the beach and about an hour north of Orlando. The hurricanes are less severe here because we are inland and they downgrade lots before they reach us. And it is a seniors paradise here. We have tons of retirment places in all price ranges. Research Ocala Florida. Its the best place. I have liveed in the area for 26 years and there is no place I would rather be.

About the HUD stuff, I am not sure, but I think you can apply for all those bennifits by going to www.myflorida.com.

Good luck and have a safe travel back to the US!
