Ok... It's not going to hurt at all...not even a bit.
when i first went for my first pap-smear (3 years ago) It was a cold room. I had to wear one of those gowns that open in the back, and i totally screwed that up. I was nervous as heck. but the dr had typed up jokes and stuck it on the sealing, so while he was checking me, I was reading the silly jokes.
the jokes helped, but they didn't take away that awkward feeling that something foriegn was being inserted in my vagina.
They use a cold goopy gel on your thing down there. I hated that part the most. then they use something that is similar to a glass-dildo (and cold too) and move it around in there and collect a sample. The sample is probably a bit of you tissue (I maybe wrong) but it feels like some one is using a big q-tip in your vagina. It is uncomfortable. but does not hurt at all.
good luck, you can do it.
out of 1 to 10 (1 being least comfortable and 10 most) i would rate it 8.

It's not going to hurt. It might be uncomfortable but it shouldn't hurt. First, they'll look at the outside of your genitals and make sure everything is looking normal. You will be lying on your back. Then the doctor will insert a device called a speculum into your vagina. This allows the doctor to examine the vagina and cervix. Next, the doctor will use a small brush like a cotton swab to collect a sample of cells. Lastly, the doctor will also probably do a manual exam where he or she will insert two fingers inside the vaginal canal while feeling the ovaries and uterus with the other hand on top of your abdomen. All of this should take less than five minutes. I have never had any pain during a pap smear but the speculum always causes a little discomfort that feels like pressure to me. Good luck and don't be scared. You'll be fine.

PAP smear just means that the gyn collects some cervical mucus with a sort of cotton bud.
Not pleasant, but definitely bearable

Good for you for making the appointment.

No woman enjoys having a pelvic exam done, but its more because of self consciousness than anything. It doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable.

Might not be a bad idea to tell the nurse at the office that its your first one. That way she can explain to you ahead of time and at the time what to expect and what is going on.

there's a frightening hadith of Prophet(pbuh) i don't understand the authentic words however the hadith is that if a Muslim see an oppression and decides to not do something approximately it, would not condemn the acts of the oppressor by way of his heart or by way of his speech have the backside point of Emaan.

No it shouldnt hurt. You will feel some pressure but it wont be bad. I was nervous about going to my first one too. Most doctors are very nice about it. It will be wierd but it will go by quickly.
