She is being inducted into the national honor society tonight. I want her to know how proud we are of her. I'm thinking just flowers or something. But maybe someone out there has a better idea....

Well first of all I congratulate her !This is a wonderful thing she achieved & has presented to parents !Now give her a permanent remembrance till her Ultimate and what it could be rather than group photo with you parents but enlarged giantly to frame it for ever to see that on such and such event this was taken ! She can show it to all later on who come in her contacts even after your death (Sorry but i have to write !God bless you my age !)that 'LOOK HERE I AM AND MY PARENT !ON THAT EVENT 'You may give latest computer if you can afford but give all surprise to her ! Without her knowledge do this !Anything you will give will have limitations ! take silent help of her friend for all this arrangements and let her be surprised that how you feel for her ! if satisfied give best answer mark i need it ! There is only one gift that you can give her that doesn't have a price tag. Turn off the cellphone and take her out to dinner and spend some time with her. In this day and age, nothing is more lavish than undivided time spent with your family.

Something that will LAST more than a few days, something that will always remind her of you and this moment, something she will have reason to see often, a watch, a piece of jewelry, perhaps if not new, one of family importance, an heirloom.
Or just treat her to McDonald's for dinner. I guess I'm too cheap.
