Does she want you to quit breastfeeding because of your age or your child's age? Most society feel that a child should not be breastfed for more than 2 years max and that is pushing it. On average I believe women stop breastfeeding when their baby is around 15 months. It is just a personal preference on if you should quit or not. As long as you and your child are comfortable no one should be able to tell you to stop. With that being said I do see it as unpractical to breastfeed after 2 years of age due to by then the child should be able to get all the nutrients they need from a healthy diet of regular foods. A mother's age should not play any role at all. As long as you are eating healthy and taking care of yourself breastfeeding at 45 is fine.

Breastfeeding is good for your child and can also help you save money. However, it's really up to your health. If you are 45 and still strong with a lot of energy then go ahead. If you are weak and skinny, there is no point of breast feeding because there will be only water in your milk and not much vitamin or protein for your child. Also you will get even weaker. So it's up to you. Strong enough or not?

Depends if you're male or female. I think you could at least tapper off. Try having a baby then breast feeding won't be such an issue. Find a new way to entertain company. How old was your mom when she stopped? When you have to bend so far down to get a sip your back goes out, it's time to stop. I won't give myself away but at 45 you don't bounce back like you use to.

The longer you breast feed, the healthier your baby will be because you transfer your antibodies to him/her which will help prevent your baby from getting anything you are immune to and help ward off colds and earaches etc. Plus you will be saving money, not only on formula but doctors bills too. You should breast feed as long as you are comfortable or to age 1, by that point your baby can produce it's own antibodies. Your child will also be healthier throughout there life if you bf till age 1! So keep on if that is what you want to do.

Another "hilarious" troll. Let me guess, you are talking about you breastfeeding from your mom? Not original or funny, just lame.
