My yard is filled with flowering weeds. Some are purple some are blue and some are dark red. I tried using Step 2 (the fertilizer with weed control). I did it just before it rained, like you're supposed to. It didn't work. My backyard looks like a garden rather than a yard of green grass! What should I do?

aside from hiring a professional, what i do is take the weed close to the ground and twist as you tear it out .this is the proper way to remove weeds as the twisting action helps you get out most if not all of the root. (i waited until my lawn was like yours and it took me 3 days, a few hrs a day to complete it. now i only have to do it every once in a while because they hardly ever show up.)then i spray round up in the little hole where the weed was. that works. i never had this problem till i hired a new lawn guy. i am convinced that other peoples lawns he cuts before he gets to my house has remants and seed of these flowering weeds on the lawnmower blades and they get deposited as he cuts my lawn.they are pretty if they were in a pot but not scattered all over a lawn. in either event. what i told you works very well for mine.

You may have to pull them out by hand or hoe. Go slowly and wear gloves to protect your hands
