Arizona. They just raised the minimum wage all the way up to a whopping $5.75!!!

Arizona is a "Right To Work" state, and unions have very little leverage here.

Much to my SURPRISE the minimum wage per hour paid actually VARIES among the 50 states and apparently no state is required to adhere to the current $5.15 Federal Government minimum wage monitored by the US Department of Labor (DOL).

There are 5 states in the South (Tenn, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama) that actually have NO MINIMIUM WAGE at all and one state (Kansas actually PAYS BELOW at $2.65) the Federal Government rate. Luckily almost half of the 50 states esp in the West, New England and Florida have State Minimum Wages that are Higher than $5.15

See DOL Website http://www.dol.gov/esa/minwage/america.htm
