you bring up a very good point.
there are definitely problems in men's rights too. the mens rights movement is fragmented, but there is definitely a place and need for it, right alongside with feminism.
feminism accepts, embraces and encourages the diversity of all women. there is not yet a socially acceptable equivalent for men. so you are right in that men's issues are often overlooked.

I support equality for all people, regardless of sex, age, ethnic background, race, religion and so on. People are people and should be treated equally. I would like to see reform in family law. I know several couples that divorced and the wife got the kids and the dad got to pay child support. And in several of these the dad was a MUCH better parent and in some the kids wanted to be with dad, but the judge said no. Kids need both their parents and should not be punished as a part of a divorce decree or used as leverage. I don't know how I could cope without my kids they mean the world to me.

I support equal treatment under the law.
Men and women have obvious differences.
Men could probably do better at topless bars as there are no moral issues with men going topless, but who cares?
In family law, the #1 issue is not men vs women, but the best interests of the children.

Men's equality? How are they being discriminated in anything? Many men are winning custody of their children today. And, there are more women paying child support and alimony these days. Sorry, but I find your assumption a bit of a stretch. And, please prove that feminists are suppressing this. The feminists don't own the media, corporations do. And, corporations are run mostly by white males.
Yes, there should be equality for all. women should be paid as much as men for the same job. And, since women overwhelmingly take care of the children and the home, they should be paid for it as well. And, this 'home' work should be included as part of the GDP which it isn't. That would be called economic equality. If this was implemented, divorced men wouldn't have to pay for alimony because these women would be making aliving based on how well they raised their children for the benefit of society.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness..." Thomas Jefferson, The Declaration of Independence
Jefferson wasn't talking just about males, contrary to radical feminist belief. He was talking about all mankind -- men, women, white, black, etc. You may scream about how bigoted he was and about how many slaves he owned, but he knew what was right and couldn't change things overnight; you'll notice that took the better part of the next 150 years. All humans have these rights, in equal measure to each other; the amount of rights one possesses is not determined by gender, so no one should get special preferences (or punishments) based solely on that. Men and women may be unequal in many ways, most of them physical; this in no way diminishes the equality of rights between them. Try getting that out of a modern feminist, whose politics lean perennially toward female supremacy and male subservience out of some twisted desire for revenge. Let bygones be bygones, and accept that all humans have equal rights; that's the basis of true feminism, is that women have the same rights as men. Today's feminists seem to think that they are entitled to more and/or better rights than men; my only advice is for them to read the writings of Susan B. Anthony and the like, who would be ashamed at how far things have gone in her name.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I know that, traditionally, the women have been the primary caregivers of children, so that's one reason why the courts tend to be biased towards the mothers in custody cases. However, I think that the fathers deserve to have an equal shot at winning custody, and many people don't know this, but this is one of things that the feminist movement has supported.

Well, I think I'm honest enough to say I'm a walking condradiction. I think women and men should be treated equally, but I'm also old school and feel the man should be the head of the home ( I still of course have my own opinions and make my own personal decisions..don't get me wrong). As a wife, I respect my husband as a leader in our home and if and when we have children and something we're to happend resulting in a divorce, I would want our children to have as much time with him & his family as much as with me and mine (unless of course one of us is unfit or if there are pressures from the family to side with one parent over another). There are many women out there that see their kids as a paycheck, that's why they have 5 kids by 5 different daddys and that repulses me. But at the same time I feel on average the mom invests more time and effort into their children than the average dad. Even then, a good selfless mother will consider what is in the best interest of their children before their own personal agendas and allow that relationship with their fathers. I feel that most women get bitter and angry (understandably so...) because of the non-exisitent role of fathers in the modern American home, and the good men and good fathers inadvertantly suffer for those deadbeats' decisions. Going back to equality, I want to get paid as much as men in the workforce if we have the same job and responsibilities BUT I would escape to Canada if I was ever drafted into a war!

An equal rights ammendment would really be an eye opener for feminist in this country. They don't realize how much of a protected class they are untill an equal rights ammendment would force them to be drafted along with the men.

Yep women should be treated equally.
The shouldn't be given the children automatically.
If a woman is accused of sexual abuse of minor should be treated like a man with no exception. Lock up and put on the child predator lists.
Woman who abuse the husband should be treated with the same in the court and battered husbands should be given the same kind of shelters as women.

You are absolutely right. These days especially in America people have a tendancy to use RACE, GENDER, or RELIGION to take control or power of situations! It's like pulling a wild card out when they're losing the game! Unfortunatley these femenist, religous extremist, and racist people are gathering in large groups in which they use tactful names like political groups, minority/civil rights groups, womens rights groups.... there you have it
