My friends' step daughter will be 9 at the end of July this year. She has a little swelling under and to the right of her left nipple, but not on the other side. She is going to take her to the doctor on Saturday, but I was just wondering if this could be her step daughter developing breasts? I know girls develop breasts anywhere from 7 and on, but is it uncommon to start developing on just one side?

no, that is not uncommon at all. In fact, most women have one breast that is larger than the other, tho not always noticeable, and that is because one starts to grow before the other.

I don't think so because most womens breasts are not the same size so when they started to grow it might take a while for one to start
