i think i'm depressed... and i don't want to go crazy because of my depression. i watched this television show where the case of depression and getting crazy is tackled. i've learned that depression can drive people crazy! i really don't want to end up wearing a straight jacket. i don't know why i'm depressed. i always find myself crying but there isn't any reason why!? that's way weird, right? i'm only fifteen and this stuff is really bugging me. you see, i always get the feeling that my parents(especially my mom!!!) love my brothers more. my two brothers are really smart. my older brother is actually top of his class (college) and as for my younger one, he's smart too. his lowest grade in his card is a freakin' 89%!?! i'm not as smart as them. i'm just an average... my grades are all good. as in flat B to B+. yeah, i get As and A-s but not that often. there's just this favoritism thing going on... and i hate it!

I would talk to someone about it.. not necessarily ur mom. whatever the problem is, talking about it always helps.. then u wont be crying by urself. its not healthy to cry by urself ALL the time. Its not really a big deal though. Ur so young, & depression should not be an issue for u. Just Make sure u talk stuff out. To close friends that u trust maybe (or even ur mom if u have a good relationship with her.. if not then talk to ur dad!)
And by the way, its not about the grades! some people are just as smart but just sometimes dont get A's all the time.. And thats fine. ur grades r just fine. anyways good luck on everything. Hope i helped!

You need to sit your mom down and talk to her about what she's doing and how it's making you fee. Remember your mom is just as human as you are, she can't read minds; she might not even be aware that your depressed. The only way she's ever going to find out is if you tell her.
Good luck!

First of all, please realize that mothers are human. We make mistakes and sometimes do things--like neglecting you--and we are totally unaware of it. We do not mean to push any of our children away. I know if I were your mom, I would be totally ignorant of myself doing this. Try talking to you mom. If you can't --talk to an adult, councilor, minister, aunt, grandma--someone. Give you mom a big hug. It will surprise her. lol Maybe she will hug you back. I know I would. Then see if you can have your little talk session. Good luck. I was a middle child also. Hurts sometimes.

Hey Girl,
I have two brothers too, I am stuck in the middle of them, too! I grew up feeling as though Ididn't measure up, never good enough, smart enough, feeling like Mom loved them more...when I look back ( I am now 31) I was most likely suffering from depression too! I now take medication and talk to a therapist who helped me to realize that I am just as good...if not better...lol...than my brothers and that its up to me to define my self worth...not any one else. Its awesome that you recognize your depression...do yourself a favor...save years of heartache and struggle and talk to your Mom....she loves you, and she will help you. I wish thats what I had done. Maybe you won't need meds, maybe you just need someone to talk to and to understand where you are coming from. Take it from a "grown up" we can be dense and clueless....
Hang in there...it really does get better!!!

I grew up with three sisters, two older one younger. And we are all within 11 to 21 months apart. I got out voted on everything, blamed for everything, and told on for everything. If it wasn't for my dad, who knows what those girls would have done to me. lol, He was like George Bush among the democrats, Vetoing things on my behalf.
Bond with your dad, become a daddy's girl. Let him pull his rank on your behalf. Go in there and talk to him
