It's a toss up between Michael Keaton and Christian Bale. They were the best two, but I think it would have to be Christian Bale for the simple fact he had to fill the shoes of Michael Keaton and he did and did it great. Michael Keaton did the 2nd Batman which sucked so if the next Batman isn't as good than Christian Bale is gonna look bad.

Michael Keaton and Christian Bale, the other two are pretty, and Val Kilmer had the best face for the bat suite, but Michael Keaton and Christian Bale did a much better job at being both Batman and Bruce Wayne

Michael Keaton and Christian Bale brought more to the role than Kilmer or Clooney did, but I blame the scripts for that. I have to go with Keaton... Bale was great, but Keaton's performance was iconic. I hope the next film changes my mind.

Michael Keaton so far... as the dark and troubled Bruce Wayne. Christian Bale as the conflicted Bruce Wayne is also cool.
Val Kilmer as the confident (and horny) Bruce Wayne.

I think that Christian Bale was the best Batman....but I do think that Michael Keaton was the best Bruce Wayne.

I really enjoy Christan Bale in the new batman role, though movie had some flaws, Keaton is also right at the top.
