I've never watched CSI before. Do I need to start watching from Season 1 or can I just watch any season from the middle? Which season would you recommend?

TRUST ME ON THIS ONE - WATCH CSI MIAMI - I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

The other CSI's are good but this one is addictive - the plots are way deeper than the others. It's the only one that delves into the lives of the characters. The others have characters that do their jobs well but you their backgrounds do not really come into play in the series. CSI Miami provides backgrounds on all of the stars of the show and believe me when I tell you, there's no other CSI boss who's as enigmatic, fansinating and INTENSE as Lt. Horatio Cain - Trust me on this one!

To get a glimse of what I'm referring to go here and get some info on the series http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/csi-miami/100101 Be sure to check out the Episodes section and the Cast and Details section.

This is also another good site: http://www.aetv.com/csi_miami/index.jsp

My favorite is the original one from Las Vegas, but CSI Miami is pretty good too. I dont like the N.Y. one at all. I've tried, but cant get into it or the characters.CSI is in its 7th season now and this fall will be its 8th. You can watch anytime, but you will be lost sometimes. Not all the episodes stand alone, some are referenced to past shows, especially this season I noticed. season 1 thru 6 is available to buy. Great show, dont think you would be disappointed at all!

I like the Original CSI and CSI Miami. It's hard to say,but I don't really think you would have to watch from Season 1.If you are pretty smart you will be able to figure out the little things that are going on in the show.So really it's up to you.for me I like to watch a show from Season 1 when I start watching it.But that's just me.

Gosh!! where have you been...??? Im a fan of CSI Vegas coz it's juz the best. Although CSI: NY is not bad either in terms of plot & character development that is. In CSI Vegas, the characters have definitely developed a lot since its first season. But you can still keep up by catching the new season coz it's still as engaging as before. Dont bother to catch the CSI: Miami version coz it sucks!

I watch all three CSI shows and just started all of them this season. They are easy to pick up on; after a few episodes you can figure out all the characters and their stories.

Watch the original CSI. They do re-runs on the Spike channel. You can start watching from anywhere because unlike other shows there is really no plot to follow. Every episode deals with something new.

I also recommend CSI Miami.

CSI (in Vegas) is excellent. Watch this Thursday. You can catch up this season when it goes into repeats. CSI Miami is great, too.

Always start at the beginning because if you don't then you will miss out on the individual characters developing throughout the seasons. You will miss out on the interaction between them, and the references to the past in future episodes will leave you wondering what had been happening previously...

I started watching in Season 2, and it wasn't really hard to keep up. It's not really a serial like Lost or Heroes, each show can pretty much stand alone. Enjoy.

LAS VEGAS baby!

The first and best cast - Grissom (brilliant boss), Catherine (Exotic dancer turned CSI - cool and smart too), Warwick (OMG this guy is soo Lenny Cravitz HOTTTT), Greg (CSI lab. tech. turned CSI field officer) and Nick (soo handsome in a GIJoe boyish kinda way)

Its still good on re-runs too!
