Runway mannequin - sure An above poster recounted five'6 to be the peak requirement for runway, however I consider it is extra within the five'nine variety. Print/editorial mannequin - probably Commercial mannequin - no Don't cross to a modelling tuition to "be trained" to mannequin. You have to be relaxed with your self and with the digital camera. Just get a buddy to take pics for you so to see what works and what does not. Look at poses/expressions in magazines for proposal. You're a little bit younger to be watching on the gigantic companies (to not point out nearly all of them are in NY, so if you are no longer within the field, you could have to transfer). For now, investigate out your telephone book for regional agenices (NOT faculties!). You could also be ready to get a few editorial paintings in catalogues or print advert's which can be produced in the neighborhood (reminiscent of the ones within the newspaper) to get a few enjoy and begin constructing a portfolio. Also, become aware of there may be absolute no technique to investigate if it is viable so that you can grow to be a mannequin simply founded for your top/weight/hair colour. It's a finicky trade and also you both have "the seem" or you do not (for style, someone can do commerical). Best of good fortune and don't forget to not provide someone any cash! If you signal with an company, they're going to take a percent of your profits from bookings, in order that they receives a commission while you receives a commission.

It really depends on what type of modeling you plan on doing. If you want to be a runway model yes your too short. If you want to be a clothing model no your not too short. You could even perhaps go for being an import car model.

Theres lots of different types of models.
You are too short for catwaljk/runway model the kind you see in magazines or tv.
You have to be around 5'8 or above for that.
You are short, or rather, average sized for a North American

Only if you are wearing petite clothes. But runway model most likely too short. They prefer 5'8" and up.
But you could be a face model, hand or foot model. If modeling is your dream work at it.

Eva Pigford is "Model short". She's about 5'6 or 5'7 , but that's beside the point. You can always do print work, Best of Blessings no matter what you decide to do

Standard min. height for runway models are at about 5'8". But you can do some catalog work as long as your dimensions fit the standard clothing size.

depends on what kind of model you want to be. if you dreamed of the runway then you're definitely short. think you're more of an asian size. but if you insists you can try other modelling routes like media ads for instance.
