i dont know some people dont like level headness or tranquilty its somethjing they desire to be rescued from rather than move toward or hope for,those peak experiences of great drama or whatever make people feel alive and intense experiences survive memory better than the mundane ever do. i think staying compassionate in the present moment is too ordained and too saintly,its as if you are aiming for an eternal equilibrium ,there is to much self consciousness in it there is nothing wrong with brief intensity which resumes itself to some sort of boredom or dies out, things always rise and fall and that is the only constancy we have.
